Stabbed Vicar: Man Arrested In Murder Probe

Man arrested over death of Thornbury vicar John Suddards

This is so sad - it's really hitting home for me because I grew up in Thornbury and I lived just down the from the vicarage for over 20 years :(.

It's such a shock because nothing like this ever happens in my home the town at all - it's usually really safe and has almost no crime... according to the reporter on Sky News, this is only the second murder in Thornbury in 200 years!

My parents still live just half a mile away and when I go back home I walk down the road past the vicarage every day - I was even christened in that church and the TV reporters are standing right outside my old school (the church primary school) :(.

Sad that this happened in your old area. One bad apple and hopefully it is the 43 year old suspect that they have arrested.

I get the impression that the judicial system needs to be overhauled over there because they seem to just rap the criminals on the wrist and let them go. I also think that crime is looked on as a legitimate occupation over there. Look how many of our posters have had their homes broken into and some cases several times?

Just sayin'
