Not sure if the video from 'Face the Nation' will work in the UK, but they have the transcripts of the conversation. This is my biggest complaint about the naysayers and Mitt Romney (in general as a candidate). TELL US WHAT YOU WILL DO DIFFERENT! They keep telling us that Obama and Obamacare are horrible and they would do everything differently. How?? What will you do?? Seriously, there are things that Obama's done that aren't great and I'm open to hearing what someone will do different. They just seem to have no idea themselves.

Ha ha...saw that on Bill O'Reilly on Fox yesterday and even he was scathing of Boehner.

The congressman from the district where I formerly lived in VA was against health care reform because 'a lot of people who don't go to the doctor will go if it's passed'. I kid you not - and this was supported by a lot of his constituents.

Great post, and this excuse has to be the worst ever, it makes my blood boil whenever I hear it. The very same people complain about "rationing" of health care in a social healthcare system, how does this differ from rationing then?

They don't want prioritising based upon medical need but are ok with rationing based upon the ability to pay.

My favourite part is that Obamacare is largely based on the Mass. system which is Romney's baby.

I have to say that the MassHealth plan has been fantastic for my son (who works in retail). It was difficult to find a doctor in our area who would take it however (he was told he might have to sign on with a doctor in another part of the state!) After a year with his employer he became eligible for their health insurance (which is really a sort of reimbursement plan allowing only a certain amount per year) It won't even begin to cover his appointment costs, let alone meds and CPAP equipment so he asked MassHealth if he would be allowed to stay with them but was told No, if your employer offers health insurance you have to take it! To further complicate things, if his average number of hours of work fall (he has no control over hours assigned) he will be bumped off the company plan and then have to go with COBRA. So this is far from an ideal solution to healthcare.  I imagine that there will be many drawbacks with Obamacare as well.
Having said all that, I am happy with the Supreme Court's decision. We have to start somewhere.
