Advisory: Revised T2 Policy Guidance

NOTE:  T2 does not affect fiances or spouses.

I think I know the answer to this question, but I will ask it anyways-
So if someone is on work permit with only 295 days to ILR (but who's counting  ), were to suddenly get a new job with a new employer, they would need to switch to a Tier 2 visa?  And that Tier 2 visa would be subject to the limits? And would this person need at least £800 in maintenance funds?

But more importantly, would this person still be able to get ILR in 295 days?
And this person would be pretty nuts to switch at this point, yes?   

I didn't really see this in it, but as a tier 4 student who wants to switch to tier 2 general...does the whole "having to prove no one in the UK/EU can fill this position" still apply? I once heard this won't apply to students because they scrapped PSW. Is this true or does one still have to prove that no one in the EU/UK can fill the position?

Thanks for this. It states "Tier 2 sponsor employers will not need to show that no one in the settled labour market could do the job before offering it to you."

That is good to know, still won't be easy! PSW would have definitely been the better option, however, this at least helps a tiny bit.
