Wow, that's a lot of anger! See what I mean about the frenetic way of life?

There's nothing 'frenetic' about the Outer Hebrides, and I'm really not an overly rushed person. However, I do feel that people's time is valuable, and I appreciate the fact that, even here, people have commitments to meet. So I resent the attitude that I often see out here (mainly from tourists and other folks from the mainland) that we must all live in some permanent, leisurely, holiday dream-state, with nothing important to do and all the time in the world to do it.
And keep in mind, when I talk about being stuck behind a caravan, I mean
stuck. This is on not just the main, but the
only road going from one end of the islands to the other. There's no detour available, and it's not just a minor inconvenience for a few minutes. It can more than double the time it takes to get where you're going.
So, sorry if I come off as an angry person. I'm sure the rest of the UK is lovely and soothing, but this place is doing my head in. : /
