Anyone watching? Thoughts? Discussions? Is Team Eric/Team Bill over?

I'm sure they just want to open it up to Sookie dating someone else for a bit to mix it up (From the book, although they're quite far deviated now, so this is all guess work based on the show)  -
Spoiler: show
Which I believe will be Quinn the Were Tiger
, before she goes back to one or the other, I'm of course, hoping for Eric because it increases the chances of seeing him in the buff :D

I thought Jessica was pretty cool last night, I hate the idea of Tara as a Vamp, I was really hoping she was gone for good :( Pam, awesome, as always.

Ohmygod, yes. More naked Eric, please.

Spoiler: show
Although I don't like the quasi-incest storyline. It seemed unnecessary and a little gross. But I guess it brought us Eric without clothes so I can't complain too much.

I also really liked Jessica last night. I think she's the best TV-deviation-from-the-book ever. And yes, Pam is amazing. I loved her WalMart sweatsuit.

Super excited that Scott Foley is on the show! Even though his role is part of a story I'm not particularly interested in.  ;D I'm hoping that Vamp Tara is more like season one Tara and less like whiny, annoying, always the victim Tara.

I find myself fast forwarding through most of Jason and Sam's scenes.[smiley=sleeping2.gif]

OMG just caught up with this season.*

First up: loved Bill & Eric cleaning. Can't get enough of the vamps doing everyday things (like Eric getting highlights). I am starting to like Bill again.

I hope nothing comes of the LaFayette suicide foreshadowing, my heart is breaking for him. Loved LaLa when he went super-b*tch on Alcide. Praying for a miracle with Jesus.

Along Alcide lines- I like how they are incorporating the pack rituals from the books- wonder if there will be more of that happening.

Jessica as a sorority girl could be interesting- though I'd rather see what Queen of Louisiana Jessica would get up to! I have a hard time feeling bad for Jason when I am still upset at him for Hoyt. I DID love the declaration of love he received though! Glad that Alan Ball must have listened to viewers when we all said that man was gay in season 2.

Excited to learn more about Terry, will be disappointed if it is just another ghost though.

Wondering how Eric's sister will fit in. Don't really care as long as there is more naked Eric!

Sookie seemed like the least important character in this episode. Bored me, even.

Prediction: Tara is going to be PISSED now she's awake. She hated vamps too much to be okay with her current situation.

Question: Since Eric is Pam's maker- wouldn't he be able to sense when he becomes a grandfather?

My DH's comments:
"Pam would NEVER wear a Wal-Mart track suit, even going to ground- this doesn't seem realistic" and when Eric answered Alcide's call "That is the most fear we've ever seen on Northman's face"

Final Thoughts:
I wanted them to open it with Russell Edgington. Why wasn't he front in center when everyone knows he is the best character in True Blood/Television/The Universe! Bring on the King of Mississippi!!!

I actually think that Pam wearing that sweat suit is realistic--she doesn't want to be doing this and doesn't want to mess up her nice clothes while doing it so she demands Sookie give her something else to put on. It looks like something that Gram would have had except of course, it would have been way too big on Pam in that case.

I don't know about sensing becoming a grandfather. I doubt it. And also, he's pissed at Pam and he has some other more immediate things to worry about so he might not be paying attention.

I think the scene between Eric and Bill in the beginning when Bill perks up and says "Sookie!" and Eric goes "Eff Sookie, didn't you hear her tonight" sets it up for Sookie to end up with Bill. In the end. Whenever that will be. Bill is the one who really loves her and doesn't care that she doesn't want him. Or something. I'd rather she ends up with Eric; there's more naked Alexander Skarsgard that way.

I don't think that Jessica is anywhere near enough powerful to be Queen of Louisiana, unfortunately. She's what? A year and a half, two years old? It'd be cool, though.

Spoiler: show
Based on interviews with the cast I've seen (the actor who plays Edgington says that he finds love this season and the one who plays Newlin saying he's in a very pornographic scene) I think that they're going to get together.

I get that in the book fandom thinks Eric and Sookie are the best couple, but on the show, I prefer Bill and Sookie. I definitely want them to be end game and then they could just never dress Eric and have him do all his scenes nude. I could get on board with that!

DH and I love this show. We stayed up until 3am on Monday to watch it. Where do you guys watch it at?

Pam is by far the best character. She's hilarious and can make dull moments brighten up.

The books are getting really tedious now though. I just finished the 12th one before Season 5 started - they are really really bad.

I'm definitely Team Bill, perhaps it's because they are a couple in real life. I think Eric's gotten really goofy since he was hexed by Marnie.

I agree that the books are terrible. I read the 12th as well and it's definitely a case of the filmed version being far, far better than the books. Ugh.

Any thoughts on last night's episode?

Spoiler: show
I like Sookie & Alcide. Very different from the books, where Sookie killing Debbie was the permanent deal breaker for him. Here, her body is barely cold when they're going at it. I think that Alcide is relatively good for her, at least he doesn't want to eat her. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like nekkid Eric but in the end, what future does she have with a vampire without being turned herself? She's going to get old and they're not. How does she "end up" with one, then? I realize that all of that is too practical, it's a very fantasy based tv show, etc. And I don't think that Sookie/Alcide will last. But I like them together.

Anyone have any theories about who let Russel Edgington out? Alcide, maybe, in the hopes that it would send Sookie into his protection? Eric or Bill, as a trump card in case exactly what happened happened? Someone else?

I finally watched this episode today. I like Alcide and Sookie. All of Sookie's romantic interests are nice to look at, so I won't be too sad if she doesn't end up with my preferred guy. I'm not sure who spilled the beans about Russell though.

Unfortunately, Tara is still annoying me. It's understandable that she would be distraught over the change and resentful towards Sookie for making it happening, but I'm sick of listening to her whine about being the victim because she's been doing it since Season 2. Obviously, she's justified, but I'm finding it hard to have sympathy for her.
