I've joined this forum because I work on a voluntary basis with American ex-pats, some of whom have lived here for many years so I may be able to help with any questions that people may have. I've also lived in several cities in the UK and am familiar with the main differences between England, Scotland and Wales (I have family in all three and visit Glasgow regularly). My working background is mainly public sector - NHS, local government and Civil Service but I've also worked extensively in the voluntary sector.
