For those of you who haven't figured this out yet, there is another form of baseball played in the UK (closely related to the Mass. game of townball). It's played on Merseyside and in South Wales. If you're in either area, look up English Baseball or Welsh Baseball on Google for details of events. You never know, your local team may be after some new players. This is roughly the same form of baseball as mentioned in Jane Austen's book NORTHANGER ABBEY (if you have tje original version, that is).
