Hershey bars free to a good home
« on: July 24, 2012, 03:18:18 PM »
We were planning to make smores the other night and I was quite surprised to see Hershey bars in our local Asda. I never go in there, so perhaps it's not that uncommon. Anyway, I bought them and then we all hated them so I have four 100g bars up for grabs. You can have all four or just one or two, or whatever. PM me and let me know!

I humbly share it. :)

When DH told me he didn't like Hershey's, I thought he was mad. How could someone not love a Hershey's bar? I was quite surprised when I bit into one -- not long after enjoying my first Dairy Milk bar -- and found it way too bitter.

Sorry, but I wasn't able to find those. You can probably get them online from one of the American food sites, but I didn't bother. We wound up just having toasted marshmallows and that was nice!

I have found that what are called "Rich Tea Biscuits" are about as close to graham crackers that I have found.  They are round and a decent size for marshmallows or even fluff.  Good luck!

You should try Digestive Biscuits.
Rich Tea are nothing like graham crackers, to me.

Yes, I think Digestives are the closest thing here to graham crackers. We bought them to make our smores with but then decided they might be too crumbly so just had toasted marshmallows on their own.

I always used crushed Digestives for pie crusts that call for graham crackers. They work perfectly.

I really like Rich Teas, but they aren't remotely like graham crackers.

Rich Tea are like animal crackers.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Yep...good call on the digestives.  It was them and not the rich tea.  Oops...so many darn biscuits to keep track of.  :)
