Birds

I am still in the midst of thinking of moving to the UK. The only family I have left is there and they want me to come over. My dilemma at present is that I have three birds that I do not want to give up. I do have someone who would take the two lovebirds, but I won't give up my cockatiel.

Now, I know I have to go to the vet and get forms, etc attesting to his health and that's no problem.

My question is - is there an airline that will allow him to travel as my carry on and let me put him under my seat? I won't put him in a cargo hold. In bird transport carriers, there is no way to put food and water in there and I'd have to fly from Seattle to Chicago and then Chicago to Manchester. If I could have him with me, I could go into a lounge and give him food and water during the stopover. But if he's in a cargo hold, he'd die. So I won't do it, even if it means me staying in the US.

Thanks,
Carole
