I am trying to figure out if i'm coming over on a visitor visa or a working visa (working visa seems to be much harder than I thought), would i be able to access the healthcare system on either visa?  Please help!

If you are in the UK on a visitor visa, then you will not be entitled to free NHS care.

You won't be denied medical treatment in the UK, but you will have to pay for any and all treatment except emergency room treatment (although birth control is free to all). It would be a very good idea to take out travel insurance before coming to the UK as a visitor.

If you are on a work visa valid longer than 6 months, then you will be entitled to free NHS care. You will also be entitled to NHS healthcare if you come to the UK on a student visa valid longer than 6 months, or a family visa (fiance or spousal visa).

A Tier 2 visa holder can access the national health care system but anyone on a visitor visa cannot access it for free unless it is an emergency.

I don't know if you understand but a visitor visa is not meant for people who want to live in the UK. It is for tourists and has a six month (out of every twelve) limit. A Tier 2 visa is one that only a skilled individual who has a guaranteed job offer from an employer who is willing and able to sponsor an employee who needs a visa to work.

It is also worth noting, as a cautionary FYI, that if you access the NHS without being entitled to (except for emergencies) and do not pay for your treatment, you could jeapordize future visa applications.
