Are we entitled to an EHIC card on a spousal visa?

June 18th 2012- online application done and payed
June 22nd 2012- biometric done and paperwork sent
June 26th 2012- paperwork arrived NY
July 2nd 2012 - package opened
July 13th 2012 - phone call to confirm information
July 17th 2012- email to say my visa has been issued!

just make sure you don't pay for it.  There are a couple websites out there that are very convincingly official looking that charge you a small processing fee at the end.  You don't have to pay a middle man, it's all free and simple to do.
