   Hello everyone!

It has been quite a few years since I actively posted on this forum, though have been a long time lurker throughout.

I have lived in England since 2000. My husband is British. We've been married for 12 happy years. I'm originally from TN. My husband and I met whilst we were both at University... over the Internet. I'm sure the outcome of this tale is quite predictable! haha.

We now live in West Yorkshire with our 7mth old black lab, which you can see as my avatar picture.

I'm willingly to help any newcomers needing direction or just a good ole chat.

Just a wild hair of info here: You really can get Libby's Pumpkin in a can at Waitrose.

Kind Regards;)

Well thank you!
Yes, it's nice to come out in the sunshine, otherwise, it would mean wearing welly boots and... I -still-  don't actually have a pair of those!

Kind Regards;)

Haha - well maybe give it a couple of years or just wait until this winter. I keep telling myself when the monsoon season comes, (as you know it gets really wet in the winter) that I'll buy a pair, so this year we shall see!

Kind Regards ;)

Welcome! I'd love a pair of wellies, but my calves are way too fat!

Actually, that is the other part of the reason as to why I haven't purchased any yet...
However, I found this site:
http://www.thewellyshop.com/Brands/Le_Chameau/c-1-108-118

But after looking at the prices listed, I think I'll stick with wearing my Rockports!

Ouch! Those better be nice for that price.  I don't have proper wellies for the same calf problem, but I have a pair that comes up above my ankles and works fine in my garden when I'm mucking it out.

Hiya Asadora and welcome ! (or welcome back)!

For those looking for wide-calf wellies, check out www.marisota.co.uk
They have a decent selection of wellies, as well as other boots, for wide calves.

After all it was a great big world, with lots of places to run to.

Yipee! Although now I'll end up needing to go back to work to get much... At least there is a place over here that I can buy calf boots from! :)

Hi Asadora.  I don't post here often but usually take a peek to see if anyone new has moved to Scotland.

Small world!  I lived in Knoxville during all of the 90's (worked at UT) and moved to west Scotland in 2000 when I married my hub whom I met online.
Love life in Scotland.  Love retirement.  Love travel.  Life is good.
