Aquilla, yes, I had the nebulizer treatment! And I have prednisolone tablets.
And an inhaler.

Happy to hear it works wonders!!!

Many thanks!

Married 04/13/11, in NYC.
Applied for Spouse Visa the following week, with express service, and I was approved 4 days later!
Arrived in the UK 05/20/11.
I took the stupid LIUK Test Oct. 2012.
We were granted ILR In Person in Croydon on 04/23/13.
Got BRP 2 days later, in mail box - it just appeared.

Aww poor Lara!, well I've had the 'grumpy Medical receptionist' treatment as well, and I'm a Scot, I guess they get off on bawling at anyone who turns up at the centre.  ::)

I'm glad you are feeling better and found a good doctor. I was told the same and I pay for US heath insurance and get treatment there because if giving false information is acceptable how do I know it won't extend to actual medical care.
It's a good thing they are much more knowledgable in who qualifies to pay NI contributions because that is accepted from me no questions asked.

It's unfortunate that people aren't being given correct information about whether or not they can access the NHS, however I really don't see any connection whatsoever between that and actual medical care.

Some of my worst experiences in a doctor's office were in the USA, and the reason was the RECEPTIONIST.

Try this: my 14 year old daughter had a urinary tract infection. She went in for a routine urinalysis, to our local GP, in a small town where my entire family lives. We are at the desk checking in, and the receptionist practically screams "IS THIS A FOR A PREGNANCY TEST??? After I pulled my daughter out of the large hole that opened up to swallow her, I said, equally loudly, "no it is NOT." Of course by then practically the entire town thought I was about to become a grandma.

When we saw the GP, I complained. Nothing like that ever happened again.

What the receptionist does/says has no bearing on the care and attention you get from the actual medical professionals. Why would you think otherwise?
Married December 1992 (my 'old flame' whom I first met in the mid-70s)
1st move to UK - 1993 (Letter of Consent granted at British Embassy in Washington DC)
ILR - 1994 (1 year later - no fee way back then!)
Back to US in 2000
Returned to UK July 2011 (Spousal Visa/KOL endorsement)
ILR - September 2011
Application for naturalization submitted July 2014
Approval received 15-10-14; ceremony scheduled for 10 November!
Passport arrived 25 November 2014. Finally done!

One day this week on the Jeremy Vine show on Radio 2, they were discussing horrible doctors receptionists. I think it was Thursday if anyone fancies using the Listen Again feature on their website.
