Anyone calling Social Security International phone lines leaving a message for a call back  and either getting a call back 3 weeks later ? OR  NO call back at all ? and having to call the regular 800 number and trying to have them help you ?

I've never had to call them, but I know they are HORRIBLE even about emailing. I used their online contact form and never heard back for like 2 weeks. So I wrote again saying I had contacted them and not heard back. I finally got a response. Then I needed to get in touch again...and never heard a thing. I didn't even bother trying again as it just wasn't important enough to drive myself crazy.

Thankfully my only dealings have been changing my name and getting SSNs for my kids. Kids I did in person when we got their certificate of birth abroad and passports.  Can't remember what I did to change my name on mine... must have been via post or something.  Hope you get it sorted Scotland09
