Calling all Folks from Cincy (or NKY, or the rest of OH).

Living happily in Surrey with husband and kids.

Really looking forward to the Olympics.  Absolutely loved the Jubilee celebrations.

I mostly grew up in Cincinnati (west side) and went to Oak Hills. Couldn't escape fast enough to be honest, and the only thing I really miss is Skyline! I've been in Scotland for nearly 9 years now.
Arrived as student 9/2003; Renewed student visa 9/2006; Applied for HSMP approval 1/2008; HSMP approved 3/2008; Tier 1 General FLR received 4/2008; FLR(M) Unmarried partner approved (in-person) 27/8/2009; ILR granted at in-person PEO appointment 1/8/2011; Applied for citizenship at Edinburgh NCS 31/10/2011; Citizenship approval received 4/2/2012

I am from Wyoming, OH (in the Center, on rte 4).

It's a nice neighborhood, which sometimes makes me feel really homesick. If we ever move back, that's the type of place i'd like to live in.  My kids don't know what it is like to be able to ride their bikes on the street or to play capture the flag until after dark.

Hi there! I'm from the Akron area, so pretty much the other side of the state... But it's always nice to see some fellow Ohioans on here!  :)
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' Kurt Vonnegut

I grew up in NKY but lived in Cincy for a while and worked for a number of years downtown.
Like DrSuperL99 I miss Skyline but don't ever see me living in the area again. I left in 1997 to move to Texas and moved to England in 2005.

Small world - I grew up in Springfield Township,  just at the top of the hill between Fleming Road and Compton Road.  Some of my childhood friends lived in Wyoming!  I used to ride my bike down to Friendly's (on Springfield Pike) and my first job was at the LaRosa's!

How old are you Naomi?  I left the area in the early nineties to live down in Clifton.  I highly doubt we know any of the same people but that would be weird if we did.

I'm from Northern KY, Edgewood. Been living in Glasgow since last October. I hope to get back for family visits once a year, but its expensive with two kids. My family comes to visit a lot though. Lived in NC (Cary) for 12 years prior so I've been outta KY for a while, but still have all my fam there. Miss them and of course Skyline, LaRosa's and Graeter's black raspberry choc chip ice cream. And Buskin's smily face cookies and their new chain Yagoot in Kenwood....yum!!!
