I'm currently in the UK as a student under a Tier 4 visa. My fiance and I plan to marry before the end of visa, which runs out in Sept. 2013. I'm employed right now for 18 hours a week, with a salary just over £9,000 but my contract ends the same day my visa ends. Can this income count in any way towards to financial requirements of FLR(M)?

This is sort of a moot question, since my fiancé is underemployed now and doesn't meet the financial requirements, but we were both curious about whether or not our income is able to be combined to meet the requirements.

I believe your income can count since you are already here and already working. It's only in cases where the US partner is still in the US that it doesn't count.

Thanks, that's good to know. I was concerned that it wouldn't matter because there's set end to my income when my contract ends.
