Benefits Question for SET (M)
« on: December 07, 2012, 12:49:00 PM »
Hello. I am getting ready to file my SET(M) form as the spouse of a British citizen. I understand that for the last 2 years I have not been eligible for benefits, but as long as I have been working I (we) have received Working Tax Credit. This is because it has taken parts of 2 tax years to get my income to an acceptable level. My wife does not work and I say 'we' because it is classed as a joint benefit. So my question is, even though I am not eligible for benefits, I am going to have to state on the SET(M) form that my wife and I are both receiving Working Tax Credit. Is this going to be a problem?

Thanks in advance.
