Help! Filing the 2012 tax return - where are the 2012 forms?

Hi, I'm confused - I want to get my tax return for 2012 out of the way and done with, but it seems half the forms I need haven't been updated for 2012.  I need the 1116, 1040, 8812 and 6251.  1040 and 1116 are marked 2012 but the other two are 2011.

There also seems to be an 8812 (schedule 1040) and I have no idea what that is.  Is this something new replacing the 8812 or is this irrelevant and I just need the updated 8812?  And does anyone have any idea when these will be posted?

It's only January 2, 2013 - I don't think the 2012 forms have all been released yet.

I should also note I can't find the 2012 tax tables so I can't fill that part in either.

Okay, do you have any idea when they do get released?  I just have so little time to get things done outside of work and am anxious to finish them so I don't miss the deadline.  

Also, this is my first year filing them on time.  I'm quite young and moved to the UK as a teenager and hadn't realised I needed to be filing US returns until 2012, so I submitted the last 6 years returns back in spring and this will be my first time filing them at the correct annual time - so I'm a bit green at this!  Sorry if I'm asking dumb questions!

As per the link I posted, the latest date for one of the forms you need is Jan. 24. So you can relax until then.

Congress has only just agreed some of the tax rates for 2012 - laws need to be signed followed by Treasury & the IRS designing and testing forms and software.

No-one over here can file yet because of the fiscal cliff...you are not alone.  It is not the fault of the IRS.

As an overseas taxpayer, your normal filing deadline is 15th June. Furthermore, by filing Form 4868 (or making an extension payment for $1 through EFTPS), you can get an automatic extension until 15th October.

So you have over 9 months to submit your tax return ... I wouldn't get so worked up if I were you.
