I have read through this forum on taxes and a bunch of linked sites, but I'm still a bit confused.
I tried to file taxes last year, but found I couldn't e-file, got frustrated and gave up.
I really want to get things up straight this year, I thought I needed to use the 1040 form. I am from MN and checked their site and I shouldn't have to file state taxes because I am a resident in the UK (from what I've read on the MN state tax site). I make roughly £15K annually here, I don't have any savings in the US, don't have income from any other sources, I do have student loans in the states that I have been paying off. Can anyone tell me what forms I need to file for the past tax year and the current one?
Thank you!
