Peeps? can i call u that ? Ya i drove on my international license through aaa stateside for a couple years but then had to come to grips with doing it the english way. anyway getting a driving license is time consuming and stressfull but u can do it . i did and im 44 , so i had to unlearn some bad habits, but it took me like 15 lessons ( 16 pounds a lesson ) before instructor felt confident i would pass , and i did. i tried the buses for a while too and its pretty degrading. its worth the agro if you need wheels and its good in other european countries too, and u wont have to renew till your 70, renwal was every 5 years back home . anyway as a result it helped me to be a better driver , more aware and understanding of how the british mind works and lastly u will get be good friends with your handbrake . now my oldest who's 17 wants to get hers. wife and i said we would help out but she better get a job, cuz we are tight for funds. hey i dont make loads of money here ( less than stateside) but then u can in some ways get what u need here for less. the things u cant get around the cost of like council tax - if u own or rent a home , car insurance , road tax - pays for roads? joking? m.o.t.'s - health check for your car) - if u drive, tv license - its not that much. furntunately we've got cable in our area so we can get phone , tv, and internet all in one package but it still costs a bit. to sum up if u got serious problem with depth perception it will be picked up quickly on lessons . but then u wont know until u try . so give it a go and be brave my lady comrade. and may the force be with u too. good luck. sorry i play too many star wars games. no doubt.
