Aaron, let me tell you what I had to do to get a good fare. You may not want to go to this much trouble but I'm flying direct from Las Vegas to Gatwick then from there I fly to Dublin to catch a ferry back to the UK.
I feel good that we are flying with British Airways but it is unfortunate that we have to wait in Gatwick for 12 hours to connect for the flight to Dublin only to return to the UK.
Why would we do this? The fare is about a third less than flying into the UK and thats a big difference.
I would like jump ship in Gatwick but I'm sure they would penalize us big time when they find we haven't completed our trip.
On the return it is also inconvenient because we have to drive from Basingstoke to the Irish ferry in Holyhead to Dublin and catch the flight back via Heathrow. Insane I know but I think we save about $1000 so it worthwhile for us.
Anyone on the forum who is in the industry or ?: and can think of a way of doing this another way I would welcome any suggestions.
Cheers
