IT Positions in Newcastle

Hi! This is going to be a bit of a different post here.

I'm asking for my boyfriend if anyone knows of any IT positions available in Newcastle. Or if you have any resources for him to be able to find something in IT. He is a recent graduate with a BA in IT, and is a UK citizen. I'm asking because I'm kind of relying on him for my housing situation this year at uni since I'm a student. I've been exploring backup options for my housing, but I'm starting to get worried as nothing seems to be working out.

That being said, he has been applying to many positions, but doesn't ever get a call in for an interview. He's just begun to start phoning them himself, but is just told each time that they haven't begun shortlisting yet. Which I guess is still a good thing, but we've explored several resources and options and are getting more hard pressed for time. Still have a little over 2 months before I start uni again and I have a place to stay lined up for when I get back to the UK. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer! Thanks!

I should add that he has applied for jobs listed online, he has applied with several temp agencies (Adecco, Office Angels, Pertemps, Manpower, etc. etc.). Though he hasn't phoned the temp agencies yet to get their butts in gear, I know from experience they often need a kick in the pants.
