« on: November 12, 2004, 12:23:48 PM »
just 2 nights in somewhere nice (can be cold) that may have a nice town to stroll in and enjoy the decorations.

anyone have any ideas?  was looking at edinburgh, but am open to anything.

i'd just like to go somewhere not too expensive on the 17th-19th of december.  thanks!

DH and I went to York about a month ago for our anniversary and it was LOVELY!  I just told him yesterday that I want to go back!

York is perfect.  It's a bit touristy, but everywhere is this time of year!  Really old, little windy streets that I'm sure will be gorgeous w/ twinkly Christmas lights.  And I can recommend a little bistro called Cliffords if you'd like a romantic dinner.   :D

If you are looking for European destinations, try www.ryanair.co.uk  They fly out of Stansted (about 45 mins from Liverpool St on the non-stopping Stansted Express).
