No problem!
2 cups self raising flour
1 tbl baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tbl sugar
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup shortening or butter or margarine
In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Cut in the shortening/marg till mixture resembles corase crumbs. Make a well in the centre and pour in the buttermilk all at once. Stir just till dough clings together.
On a lightly floured surface, knead dough gently for just 10-15 strokes. Pat dough to 1/2 inch thickness and use a 2.5 inch cutter (or bottom of a drinking glass or coffee mug).
Put on baking sheet and bake at 450 for 10 -12 minute until golden and risen.
Good luck and let me know how you get on! Dead easy.
