Hello :) Going From California to Glasgow!

Greetings, everyone! I'm so glad I found this site, it helped me with the visa process which I just completed, so thanks for that    Now I want to get involved, you're a great group of people!

I'm Hillary, I'm moving in September to Glasgow from California on a tier 4 visa (assuming it gets approved, haha  ) to begin a mres programme at University of Glasgow.

I heard there are a lot of other expats on here that live in the Glasgow/Edinburgh areas, and no matter where any of you are, you're all very helpful! I hope to be able to add more support and information to the group once I get over there.

Hey, thanks! Was it a big change to go from so much sun to so many clouds (amongst millions of other changes)?

I got priority processing for my visa, so I'm hoping to hear back this week. I'm being optimistic, anyway!    I've noticed, though, that lots of people on here appear to be applying for settlement visas and are happy couples - I'm so happy for you all. I only someday hope to find a sweetie, probably after I'm a total nerd and have a PhD.
