MB = Bachelor's degree in Medicine
ChB = Bachelor's degree in Surgery
MRCGP = Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners
DPD = not sure, think it's Diploma in Practical Dermatology
DSBD, FPCert = no idea

Found this useful link in my searching: http://www.privatehealth.co.uk/healthprofessionals/doctor-qualifications/doctor-qualifications/

But then again, it doesnt include all the ones you listed. FPCert might have to do with family planning?

Thanks Kaylesh and Pickled. The doctor has all those degrees after his name, and is, indeed a doctor of dermatology. I wanted to see if any of the certs/diplomas were specific to surgery or skin cancer. I will check out the link. Thanks again.

I recently went for a dermatology check here and afterwards the head guy was called in to have a look as well.  Being curious, I looked him up when I got home and, although the only post-nomials given for him were MB, ChB, his qualifications looked very good including training in Mohs surgery (which I've had in US)

I think the DSBD is Doctor of Surgery (something) Dermatology.

Anyway, it all looks good. I only hope them calling in the 'head honcho' doesn't mean that the other doctor suspects I have something far worse than originally though. :(

Well, I was a bit worried about that in my case.  But then I got the feeling that the two docs were just kinda curious about my case history from the US and the head doc was interested in seeing my Mohs scar and was just using my current concern as an excuse!
