Hi all,

Quick question that may have an answer on the board already. I am a dual UK/USA citizen living in the UK with my British partner. We're considering getting married on a trip to the USA this winter, but aren't sure if it would be better for future paperwork to get married in the UK. We intend to keep living in the UK for the next 3-5 years, but are considering a possible move to the USA or to Canada after that.

Is there any evidence that getting married in the USA years earlier is looked upon favourably (or unfavourably?) by USA immigration officials? Is name changing easier with UK or USA marriage paperwork?

Thanks in advance for your help!

It really doesn't matter as long as your marriage is valid.
