Thanks Stephanie, PickledSakura, PB, PlainPearl, Courtney and Kerry!   ;D

I'm going to use these few weeks as a power up.... like in a video game where coins are worth double.  8)  It's easier finding work if you've already got a job, right.  ;D  My CV definitely looks better since I'm currently employed!  :)  I just need to keep the ball rolling and get some momentum to a full-time position!

You're absolutely right.

I'm presently the volunteer administrator for a charity (I also landed another job in the service industry, but my manager and colleagues were nasty pieces of work, so I quit after a few weeks). I've only been doing it for 2 months and I'm definitely getting more responses from employers. Last week I was offered a permanent fulltime position and I was also offered a temp to perm job. I decided that I was more suited towards the temp job and I started today. Having something recent on your CV can only help and who knows where it will lead. A few months back I had nothing going for me professionally and then last week I had options! I hope it's the same for you!

Good luck finding "back-to-school" clothes!

Whooohooo, PlainPearl!  :)

It's one thing being told that it's easier to get work if you're currently employed- it's another to actually hear of it happening to people.  :)  I hope I have the good luck you've had!  :)

Enjoy your new job!  :)

I've got my bag purse packed, my homework new employee paperwork done and I'm all set for my first day of school work!  :)

I found out the dress code is smart casual, so I've got jeans, grey slip-on shoes and my (and DH's) favourite button-up shirt of mine.  :)  It looks like it's just white with random little black shapes on it, but they're actually little black bugs!  :)  Awesome.  :)
