Ooops...sorry
« on: November 22, 2013, 12:25:40 PM »
Hi there.  I've been thinking today about how much incredible information all of us have to collectively share on this board.  Some have incredible knowledge of the technical stuff, others have great info on where to buy the best dill pickles, others make me feel like I'm normal b/c I'm deathly afraid of driving in England.

I hope all of us will feel ok to make mistakes with information & know that the group will gently correct us.  I hope all of us will feel it's ok to have in "off" day when we might say a snarky comment....but, then perhaps back track with a simple "oops, my bad..sorry."  Or, if we don't even understand what we did to possibly rub someone wrong, I hope we feel ok about sending an inbox message to that person to hopefully mend a fence.  I'm just speaking for me, but I try not to ever burn a bridge that I don't have to.  Anywho, this has been on my mind today & I just wanted to get it off my chest.  AND....I am sorry if I have been snarky to anyone on the board.  For now, this is my main source of socialisation & you guys will just have to put up with the good, the bad, & the ugly of me until I make some proper face to face friends.

I leave you with this parting thought....
Where would you be if you fell down a hole... Stuck down a hole... in the fog... Stuck down a hole, in the fog, at night... WITH AN OWL!

Well said, CWrummy!

Communicating without the benefit of body language and tone of voice has always been difficult for me.  Not to mention the way we (in a global sense) often interpret words and phrases differently, it's usually best to give people the benefit of the doubt.  :)
