Hello!
« on: November 05, 2013, 08:05:18 PM »
Hi all,

My name is Emma and I am from the UK but have been living in CT for the past 10.5 years with my Yankee husband and our little girl.

We are planning to move to the UK next summer and I stumbled across this site when searching for various dos and don'ts related to visas (for my husband), work and money (I will remain employed by my US employer and am trying to figure out how to budget with fluctuating exchange rates and wire fees) not to mention the logistics of packing up and moving *home*.

I am looking forward to getting to know you all and learning from your experiences; I will certainly have lots of questions once we start planning our move in the new year.

I was born and raised in the UK - we are moving to Brighton, E. Sussex - so feel free to ask me questions about life in the UK and Southeast region in particular.

Thanks!
Emma

Hiya Emma and welcome! I have been here two years now, in West Yorkshire and love it. I hope your move goes well and as stress-free as a transatlantic move can go!  :)
