Hi. I'm on an extended trip all over with my 12 and 10 year old and intend to continue travels until June-July 2014. We were admitted to UK in Sept 2013 without any hassles, but had a problem a few days ago. Border agent was annoyed because we didn't have an exact date of exit (I estimated 30-45 days because we were planning on heading up to Scotland after Christmas, then over to Ireland). I had more than sufficient proof of funds, but even that was a problem. I told her that we would therefor leave on Dec 28th (rental accomodations ended on this day in London). She finally let us in, but opened up "files" on each of us starting with "MGC" and told me that this was a bad thing to have on our passport, "especially for the children". Can anyone tell me what this might mean? If necessary, I may have to hire someone to get these expunged because I certainly do not want the kids penalized whenever they travel in the future. Thank you!
