Feeling Down :(

Hi Everyone,

I don't know where this belongs exactly..... Enduring the distance seems appropriate.

I'm feeling really down today and missing my husband so much.     I mailed Dave a Christmas present today and it just kind of hit me that Christmas is coming soon and I'm not going to have him home and it just makes me feel so sad and lonely...

I should be feeling happy as we're half way through this deployment.. And I really really am happy.  I know this is part of the "job description"   but sometimes (not too often anymore) it just gets hard.   I just wish I could call and speak to him or even email him.  We've done this separation thing for years now and well that's just the way it is.  But it's the lack of communication this time of around that makes it hardest.

Just posting this makes me feel a bit better.   Thanks for listening..

Maureen,  I know this must be so hard for you!  Not being able to talk to your loved one is just the hardest thing imaginable!  You are in my thoughts hon!!

I'm so sorry that you're feeling low.  It always seems to be magnified with holidays, the nights drawing in, etc.

Thanks for listening I'm feeling loads better this morning!! I got to speak to him last night  .

The Christmas package just triggered everything yesterday.. I have been keeping so very busy that yesterday was the first weekend I've had to myself since he's left.  So maybe that was a part of it too I just wasn't quite sure what to do with myself....

Anyway thank you for listening and I know there are far worse then my situation. I Thank God  everyday is he's not in Iraq. But hey if he was I would have to learn to deal with that as well!
