Well.. Nicholas Cage owed MUCH more than Kerry did!
I guess he shouldn't have bought a medieval castle...

I am always baffled when I see celebrities get in so much debt, then recover like nothing has happened?

I also recently found out that with musicians, 'flowers' is codeword for 'drugs'... Just sayin'. Naughty Elton.

Well I don't know if you could say recovery like nothing happened. My understanding is that it is due to Nicolas Cage's giant tax debt that he is in every movie. He has to accept the contracts to pay his due to the IRS.
