I hate my Talk Talk account. I keep meaning to change it. My broadband is spotty. The wi-fi doesn't go further than the living room. If I want anything fixed, they find a way to make me pay for it. Every call goes to an obtuse call centre that makes me wait for ages. Yes, they are cheap, but it's a royal pain.

Virgin can be a bit dear if you go nuts on the TV packages,  but I really like them. I've had their broadband for 5 years,  and can only remember it down twice. The wireless is really strong in my house,  great signal through closed doors and stone walls. I can even use my wireless on my phone when I'm 3 floors down on the street in my car.

My parents have always had Virgin Media (well, it was Telewest for years and then Virgin Media took them over) and so I went with Virgin when I moved to Exeter. We never had any issues with them.

When I moved to Lincoln I decided to try out Sky... which was okay, but the internet speed was crap (something that would take 5 minutes to download using my parents' Virgin broadband took 1.5 hours with my Sky connection) and honestly, I prefer the packages and offers that Virgin provide, so when I return to the UK in a couple of weeks and find somewhere new to live I will be going with Virgin instead.

That's not really down to their broadband service, more to do with your internal configuration.  You can get extenders/home plugs etc to improve coverage.
