Quick question about spouse Visa!

Hello all i couldnt find my question on the forums.

I have been doing some research about partner visa on the UK gov site. And some of my questions have not been answered. Their information can be confusing.

  What i want to know is if my British Girlfriend and I get married in the US. And then apply for a two year spouse visa in UK will we still have to meet the fianancial requirment? Does that only apply if you are getting married in UK?

What are my options for getting married in the US, Then getting a Visa for me to move there? We plan to get married next year and i'm having trouble finding information about the Visa i would need. THanks!

The financial requirement is the same for a UK spouse visa whether you get married in the UK or elsewhere.  Additionally, the financial requirement is the same for a fiance visa for the UK which allows you to come to the UK and to marry within 6 months after which you apply for FLR (M)-further leave to remain which is good for 2.5 years and again has the same financial requirement.  The initial spouse visa which you apply for if you marry outside of the UK is good for 2.5 years.
