Californian in Rugby

Hello everyone! I just moved to Rugby on a spousal settlement visa two months ago and am enjoying everything so far. I am originally from Auburn, CA but spent the last seven years in Istanbul. Would love to meet up with others in the West Midlands area to find out about living here and commiserate about how much we miss In'N'Out Burger  . I also keep bees, love exploring England, and will be starting my MS in Herbal Medicine next month.

you sound like someone I'd get on with! I'm an artist and focus mostly on studying nature, especially love studying and painting insects! I love learning about herbs and plants in the wild and their properties.

I'm hoping to get approval when I apply for my visa soon, we're preparing now. I'll be re-locating to Northumberland, that's where Gary lives and I love it there.

Sounds like we have a lot in common. I love insects as well and there are so many fun types around our garden. I am a photographer though and am not a very good painter, I must say .

Best of luck with the visa prep. We applied fairly recently so if you need any info I would be happy to help. I spend a lot of time in Cumbria next to Northumberland as I have family there. It is a beautiful area.
