Hey everyone,
I'm about to move abroad for the first time, I'll be starting a three year research position at a university in Coventry which starts September 1st but I'll be arriving in the UK on August 20th.
As a nomadic undergraduate and graduate student I've gotten a lot of experience moving around in the US but navigating the system in the UK is still confusing for me (even after doing research into letting agents etc.). My goal is to try to reserve a semi-permanent place to stay before I arrive, does this seem feasible?
In case this isn't possible what's the typical turn around time between deciding that I want a place after viewing it and actually being able to move in (assuming that the place is advertised as "available").
