Hello
« on: July 05, 2014, 08:51:42 PM »
My name is Sabrina, recently got involved with a young man from England.  We met online and thus far have managed to spend a month together here at my home in the states.  In addition to the long distance thing, there is also an age difference going on, with me being somewhat older than he is.

While I have been in several long distance relationships in the past, this is the first time I've been in one that has been in a different country, and it's really difficult, especially as I work on trying to find a path to moving over to the UK to be nearer to him.

Anyway, figured it was time for me to say hello, as I have been lurking here for several weeks.

Welcome!   ;D

Where in the states are you?  And where is your handsome young Englishman?  ;)

I'm in Kent which is in the far southeastern corner of England and am an Atlanta native.

Hi,

I'm in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He is up near Manchester.  I am planning a trip to visit him in January and another in June, with him possibly coming back to visit in the spring.  So it's a step by step thing for now.  Definitely a different dynamic than what I'm used to.

Welcome......every relationship has to begin somewhere. I met mine online too and we are not the typical young crowd.....me being 40 and he being 48. I am originally from Alabama and will be moving to Northants/Cambridgeshire area. Good luck and if it is meant to be it will  be.  BTW......can't just move there, though. You either need to be a student or you will have to come as a fiancee or spouse. It is next to impossible to get a job there. :)
