Do I have to give up my US citizenship?
« on: October 08, 2014, 12:54:14 AM »
I know I am getting waaaaaay ahead of myself as I am still waiting for my Visa to arrive and/or get approved but I've been reading some posts from people who are talking about this stage of the process.

I really don't want to give up my US citizenship but I will most likely be spending the rest of my life in Scotland with my husband.

Can I not have duel citizenship? (Apologies if that is a stupid question :) )

First I need to remind myself!  I still haven't gotten around to sending that piece of paper in.

The reason alot of people have given up their citizenship is because of the invasiveness of the US government and IRS. It's something I've discussed with hubby and it will be something that is discussed further once we get out of the US.
Even when life seems at it's most dark and despairing.. there is within the power to make change.
