Set m checklist

Hi all,

I have my PEO appointment on Friday in Solihull. I am applying for ILR (set m).  I applied for my spouse visa on 3rd July 2012 (issued Nov 2012, expires Nov 2014- married to BC).

I would really appreciate it if you could have a look through the documents I have prepared. I have 5 folders containing the documents plus copies of everything.

Folder 1
Online booking appointment
Online Payment Sheet
Set m application form (version June 2014)
3 x applicant passport
BRP card
1 x sponsor (bc) passport
2 photos of me and 1 of sponsor
Drivers Licence- applicant and sponsor
LIUK pass certificate
2 degree certificates
letter from Uni confirming degrees were taught in English
Point based calculator print out showing 10 points for english and 30 points for degree
Academic transcripts
Marriage certificate

Folder 2 (Applicant)
Banks statments March 2014- present
Wage slips March 2014- present
P60 (2013 and 2014)
Letter of employment

Folder 3 (Sponsor)
Banks statements March 2014- present
Wage slips March 2014- present
P60 (2013 and 2014)

Folder 4 (Finances)
Joint bank statements March 2014- present
Joint online saver statement October 2014
ISA statement Sept 2014
Annual mortgage statement

Folder 5 (cohab docs)
Halifax joint- Oct 2012
Council Tax- March 2013
Lloyds joint statement- July 2013
Joint council tax- Oct 2013
Joint water bill- March 2014
Joint electricity bill- July 2014
Individual Electoral letter- Sept 2014

Looks pretty good, but you have a bit too much, so I would take out some things - 5 folders seems a bit excessive.

- You don't need driving licences

- You don't need mortgage statements (unless they are one of your 6 documents)

- You don't have to include savings accounts unless you are using them to show you have enough money (i.e. if one or both of you already makes enough, you only need to show those statements) - but you can include them if you like.

- You only need 3-6 months of bank statements and payslips (6 months to be on the safe side), so just May to October... you don't need them from March or April.

- You don't need P60s or letters from employers, just bank statements and payslips.

i will take some stuff out and maybe put the documents in folder 2 and 3 in the same folder.

visa approved!!!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

my appointment was at 11am. we got there at 10:30. The staff at Solihull PEO were so lovely! my visa was approved by 2:30pm. The process was so simple and easy. It is definitely worth the £400 extra. I don't think i would have managed the stress of another postal application!

Naturalisation is next!
