We are looking to ship approx 10 large suitcases worth of our belongings from Florida to the UK. Any rough estimates on cost, or recommendations on providers would be greatly appreciated.

I used upakweship and had 50 cubic feet I think. I believe it was in the ballpark of $1500-2000 for that including insurance. They have a pretty decent estimate generator in their website if I recall correctly. I was pleased with their service.

We were quoted $1560 for a 100 cu ft container from North Carolina to Oxfordshire/Moreton-In-the-Marsh storage facility from UPakWeShip.
I am a North Carolina girl born and raised, yes I love sweet iced tea, Texas Pete and biscuits and gravy....but England is where my soul feels at peace and I can't wait to get there.

I was quoted $1850 for 150 cubic feet thru SDC international shipping. They came recommended by a friend who relocated to Wales. They were reasonable rates. My stuff is currently in transit, so... No verdict yet from my but my friend had a good experience and I have to say I've had a pleasant experience so far!

If you haven't moved here yet and are still booking your flights, I suggest paying extra baggage fees if possible. You'll save a lot more money that way. If you book it online with your tickets, it is worth it! If that scenario doesn't apply to you, I would call around and get a few quotes from different companies. Compare them against each other to get the best rates. I moved here in March 2014 and had whatever belongings I couldn't fit in my suitcases shipped. 300 cubic ft with insurance cost me over $2000. Although, I wouldn't recommend the company I used since they damaged my gorgeous dining furniture and lost a few of my boxes. I was never fully compensated, even with insurance! It can be a crap shoot shipping your belongings - so be careful when choosing shipping company! Best of luck :)
