Hi, everyone. I was a member of this forum about 6 years ago but can't remember my login name, so registered again with this one. Anyway, my pen name is Rachael Allen, as I'm an author now, and an artist. I can't believe I've lived in England for 7 years and got through all the immigration red tape! It was with your help, and I'm very grateful for the people on the forums who answered all my questions. You definitely gave me peace of mind.
Although I miss the USA, I love how the British are not as judgmental on appearance, and are very down to earth. I had a bit of trouble adapting over here, due to being disabled. I wasn't used to the uneven cobblestone pavements, ovens and washing machines low to the floor (I'm tall) and not being able to park near shops. Still, there's something about the countryside, weather, and wonderful people here, that makes me feel comfortable. So hello again.
