LOLOLOL @ sonofasailor about the mouse in your collar!

I hate them, myself, mainly because my mom's house was overrun with them. I used to watch them run across the top curtain pole in my bedroom! Nothing like trying to sleep when you know several mice are in your room. I reached towards the table once to get something and had a mouse staring right into my face. This is why I always had cats. They'd find them before I did.

I had a 3-legged kitten who was the best mouser ever.
About your cat's reaction to the door down the hall... was probably either a ghost or the cat was picking up on negative energy. I had an extremely high electro magnetic field in my house in Maryland (it was over 100, and if you get higher than a 3, that's cause for concern), so my cats had a field day with "seeing" things. High EMF can cause you to hallucinate or even feel sick. I never felt sick from ours, but it sure did provide a lot of entertainment.
