I am the USC and my husband is UKC. We plan to file in London to move to the states. I have had 0 income for the past 8 years as I am a stay-at-home wife and mother.
Should I still file a tax return for the most recent year just to have something to show at the interview. I have looked into file the taxes and my husband will need a ITIN, which has to be applied for in Austin, TX. His passport would also be sent there.
I would prefer to avoid this.
Has anyone done this or not needed to do this?
