I didn't mention in my previous note.....even though Lloyds would not give me a bank statement without the weeks wait......we went in to put my wife's name on the savings account (for some reason they hadn't done so)......then we mention that it sure would be nice if we could get a bank statement with my wife's name on it (buying the house in her name)... "Sure.....no problem".....and then just prints it off. Why couldn't they just do it in the first place? To get my visa bank statement ready I went into my bank in Spokane and asked for 7 months of statements......and could they please sign each page.....oh, and could you put the bank stamp on each page? "No problem"....and just does it. About 10 gazillion pages of bank statements, with signature and stamp....... Oh well..... We got a call from the property folks today wondering if we were going to get around to doing our house inspection etc....the selling folks were really keen on getting things going. Duh.....we had the inspector in last Saturday.....and the same property company gave the key to the guy to do it. Our solicitors are waiting for their solicitor to forward the paperwork. Sometimes I love the American really annoying estate agents who call you every 5 minutes to see if there is anything they can do for you.... Here you can wait for weeks wondering if anybody is still breathing.....
