My divorce was finalized in April 2014 in California and, when we gave notice at the registrar's to marry here, I had to show them proof of my divorce. I had no problem, although this was before these new rules for giving notice to marry - I can't see how that would change matters though, just lengthen the time it takes to get your notice finalized so you can marry. Hopefully someone with more knowledge than I will clarify matters.
