Calling All Beatles Fans!
« on: September 28, 2015, 11:18:52 PM »
Hello everyone!

Wasn't sure where to put this thread and I don't know what the policy is about tooting your own horn. *quickly toots it and looks about nervously* Anyway, If any of you are Beatles fans (Which I know there's a good chance ONE of you is! ;) ) I'd love for you to check out my Beatles website which I made all by meself.

http://www.thebeatlesthroughtheyears.com

There's information on the band up there, the guitars, the women, the music (Yeah, I hear they were pretty good at that music lark!) and I update the blog regularly with ramblings and news and what have you. We even do a Podcast called 'Tea & A Butty' and we're about to record our 4th one. We're doing all the Beatles albums in review. :)

Really though it's for the fans and we love featuring fan stories so if you click on the 'Fans' tab you can email us with your story of how you got into them! :)

Thank you very much!

*Beatle bow*  :P

Token Brit/ Domenic--Did you manage to see the Beatles exhibit at the Johnson Library during the summer? Your thoughts?

Oh yes I did! I was so grateful that I managed to catch John's Gibson J-160E before it went to Auction! I wrote a post about it on the blog here:

It was AMAZING. Though I am biased because I'm a Beatles fanatic! :) Are you in Austin/From Austin then?

Great site!

Last night I listened to Norwegian Wood about ten times over and over.

This line just kills me every single time:

"She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh
I told her I didn't and crawled off to sleep in the bath"
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

I'm glad you got to see the exhibit at the LBJ Museum. I will read the blog in a moment. I don't live in Austin now although I used to live in Cedar Park and Buda a few years ago. I live in Katy, a far western suburb of Houston but I go to Austin often for the sake of it and to visit a few of my cousin's who live there. I had no idea the exhibit was on at the LBJ so it was a pleasant surprise to me. My daughter was truly annoyed! We had just returned from a flight from the UK the day before (we saved $1200 by flying from Austin than IAH!!). My in-laws live near Wigan so we were in the area visiting the Beatles sights all over Liverpool and then to come to the LBJ and see more. Lol

Haha that song was allegedly about an affair John had with Maureen Cleave. I haven't actually covered that song....I don't think! Must get on that! It's a fantastic number! One of my favourites from Rubber Soul! Thanks for checking out the site! :D

We live just outside of Cedar Park! Your daughter was annoyed that you wanted to go to the exhibit?? haha and you saved money by flying from Austin? Was it a direct flight to London? I know they were talking about doing direct Austin to London flights but I had no idea it would be cheaper!
