Got a customs duty invoice from DHL for my clothes that I shipped back to the US

Hello everyone,

I moved back from England to the US. Because I wasn't able to take all my clothes with me, I shipped some using DHL. I declared my clothes as "used personal effects -- used clothes". But, 4 weeks after my return, I got a bill from DHL saying that my shipment incurred import duties. I wonder if there is any hope in successfully contesting this. Thanks!

I would try!  Assuming the box is truly filled with used clothes and not brand new things, I would think you have a strong case.
