Received email 'Decision has been made'

Hello everyone,

We just received email 'Decision has been made '.  We just mailed off to Sheffield last week and we got a confirmation email on Monday that they had received our package.
This seems really quick, two days....is this a bad sign.
I now just received a tracking email from them.

So now we are worried as we won't finalize the details with the house until mid August do we have to leave within a certain amount of time?

Riding this crazy rollercoaster..so  many emotions....Thanks in advance for all your help!!

Congratulations.  Quick answers mean approvals as it takes longer to refuse the application.  Yes, you'll need to enter the UK within 30 days of the start date of your visa.

This came through a lot quicker than expected I was planning the 3-4 wks process time.  Is there an option to extend the leaving date???

The 30 day arrival is brand new and you might be the first guinea pig on this forum.  This is all we know:

Hopefully there is info in your package to let you know how to extend the travel date.  Let us know what it says and the cost....  because there will be a cost!

Hopefully they followed your instructions and it will have been issued with a "valid from" date of August 8th and you will have 30 days from that date to enter the country.  But to be honest, the UKVI usually ignores that and issues the visa from the date they approve the application...   

This is crazy, all we have been thinking about is the visa and now we are nervous of what the date will be on the visa..... I will let you know.
We have been married 16 years and have 2 children so we are an easy application but I never expected 4 days.....wow!!

Don't worry about anything until you see the visa.  It could (and should and hopefully) be 100% correct!

No, sometimes the visa is approved the same day the application arrives.  Once the application is in someone's hand it doesn't take too long.  I always do the in-person applications (which you can do once you are in the UK) and my last one took 40 minutes to be approved from the time I handed everything over.

Yes, purchased Priority.

It was received and they sent an email of acknowledgement on Jul 6th and today we got a Decision made email and another email with tracking info.

You don't get a BRP until after you arrive in the UK. BRPs are only issued/given inside the UK.

Before May 31st, a visa applied for outside the UK would be issued as a sticker in the passport and there would be no BRP until the next visa (FLR(M)) after 2.5 years in the UK.

However, they are rolling out the new program (starting on May 31st for US applicants) where visas issued abroad are now being issued as a 30-day vignette in the passport and then when you arrive in the UK, you have 10 days to pick up the BRP, which will be your visa.
