Hello from an American in Scotland x
« on: August 06, 2015, 07:46:50 PM »
Hiya, just saw this site and thought it was perfect for me, because I'm really having a tough time connecting with people and feeling very self conscious about everything including my accent. I'm originally from St.Louis, Missouri and my husband is from here in Scotland (  Fife ) For the last 4 years, I've been coming to Scotland for 6 months a year to be with my husband. I still find it quite difficult to connect with people. I'm still working on it tho x

Hiya,

I'm originally from Wisconsin (though lived in NH for a while, as well), and have been in Scotland about 4 1/2 years now.

I'm out in the Western Isles, so I'm of absolutely no use to you, but welcome, anyway!

Hey! Thanks for your reply:) Sure you  are, you have the experience under your belt, even if we aren't  in the same area. I haven't started the immigration process yet. But will by the end of this year or beginning of 2016. I'm kind of scared, but it's  time.

Just wanted to say hi...
I'm originally from California, but have been in the UK for nearly 30 years, and would never want to live anywhere else!
I live in Helensburgh, on the west coast.

Welcome  :)

Heading even closer your way this sometime this morning - do you ever get bread from Woodlea Stables in crossgates? I would heartily recommend it. And fresh eggs, too!
